“I started creating this fragrance by reading Emily Dickinson’s poems, and was moved by looking at the old yellowed pages of her herbarium. I felt a deep connection with her, trying to imagine the places she loved to walk and from there I began, like a long run in a grassy field, in the summer wind, listening to nature and breathing the freedom of my soul.” MEO FUSCIUNI
An olfactory harmony meets us from the first notes: angelica, chamomile, carrot seeds, a bright and intense fragrance. The heart is gentle, loving vegetal poetry: cypress, myrtle, hyssop and lavender. I approach the forest and like a poetic and olfactory mirage I smell the timeless notes of cedar, vetiver, guaiac, elemi and tonka bean, while the distant field disappears into the sky.
On the threshold of the forest, I read her poems, listening to the scent of a woody symphony. Spirito represents the spiritual bond between man and nature, between the soul and poetry. “My dear Emily, in your poetry I was set free, in a place I had never been before I found the peace to tell myself the whole truth. An experience far from everything.”
