MEM is not a fragrance that lends itself to easy interpretation, but it will reward your patience a hundredfold. In terms of who can wear it, MEM is something of an illusion: sometimes it seems masculine, at other times, feminine. Beautiful, imaginative, and unforgettable, we believe this is artisanal perfumery at its most daring.
“MEM is by far the most complex and ambitious fragrance composed by Antonio Gardoni, and smelling it on tape is a bit like trying to read a closed book: the sheer intensity of the fragrance defeats comprehension. On the skin, a breeze turns its pages one by one and it becomes readable. MEM is something of a three-movement piece played by a 107-piece Parsifal orchestra: a fresh lavender and camphoraceous bay at the top that says ‘Fear not, good people: fresh spicy masculine reassurance,’ and will live a happy life on its own. Directly behind it is a massive and unexpected accord of jasmine and rose that breathes natural goodness. And in the background is an animalic dryness in the old Bogue way. In terms of balance, texture, and sheer symphonic luxury, MEM is in a very rare league. A monumental achievement from any perfumer, especially from someone with a day job as an architect.”
An oriental fougere fragrance for both sexes. The nose behind this fragrance is Antonio Gardoni.
