“In 2010, a few days before the launch of MASQUE Milano, I was invited to the premiere of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. It was my first time in a 3D movie theater, and the experience was so realistic that several times I unconsciously moved quickly to the side to avoid objects flying around in the movie. Falling down a rabbit hole is something that still gives me excitement. Ever since then, I imagined that we would develop a fragrance around this crazy tale! The inspiration for Lost Alice comes from Chapter 7 – a crazy tea party, where one can smell the scent of hat tea, milk, bread, and butter, served in a rustic setting. Add some scones to complete the very British cream tea, and the magic is complete.”
To begin with, Lost Alice has gourmet attributes, but it also has citrus, woody, floral, musky, resinous, and herbal aspects. In fact, it's a bit of an enigma. Like Alice herself. Elusive and hard to define. The top notes of the fragrance have fresh tea notes, which include bergamot, black pepper, sage, and mate. The heart goes into a delicious cake with ginger, carrot heart, iris, and rose. Next come evaporated milk and musk. I think the journey from the top to the base is really special.
