Rose absolute from Bulgaria is softened by exhilarating doses of white flower extracts: sensual jasmine, luscious tuberose, and sensual orange blossom. Golestan references seductive classics, yet is a modern, uncompromisingly original fragrance. “It all started when I visited the Louvre in Paris in 2020. There, I stumbled upon a section I had never visited before, even though I’d been to the Louvre many times. The whole section was about Persian empires and history. I was amazed by the grandeur, the statues, and the cultural heritage spanning over 5,000 years.” I started discovering more by reading books, and ended up discovering the Golestan Palace in Tehran in photographs. The palace, also known as the Rose Garden Palace, built in the 16th century, with its decorative and figurative tiles, was pure inspiration. The word Golestan literally translates to City of Flowers or Flower Garden. Although I haven’t been able to travel to Iran yet, I’ve created a fragrance that takes me there.
