“Oud is the essence of woody notes. It is unique through its olfactory profile and its social and cultural interest. I wanted to conquer oud like a multifaceted diamond, the most precious raw material you can imagine. I had the opportunity to work with amazing quality with oud at Ajmal, located in India. It is the perfect balance of all facets of oud: smoky, leathery, slightly animalic, vibrant, addictive, and powerful. What makes this fragrance completely unique is the fresh floral magnolia accord at the heart, which exposes the fragrance to a brighter, more exciting, and more joyful place. It gives an almost aquatic character to the fragrance, allowing the fragrance to breathe. Next, I used an overdose of ambergris, which provides a unique intensity, projection, and vitality. These molecules can make this fragrance last forever. Next, I chose a blend of three exceptional woody raw materials: patchouli to convey the darkness of oud, sandalwood to create an addictive, soft, milky sandalwood effect, and finally, precious vetiver.” From Madagascar, it has an earthy, rooty, and slightly smoky impression. These three elements together resemble a perfect woody hybrid. Finally, the addition of oud bouya emphasizes the oriental-woody character of the fragrance. A unisex oriental-woody fragrance. The nose behind this fragrance is Pierre-Constantin Guéros.
